opportunities it provides. Serious rock climbers can find some amazing
experiences among our hills and hollows, bluffs and boulders. Here you
will find fascinating rock formations, daunting climbs, and incredible
scenic beauty. We even offer a climbing school for those who want to
learn new skills, or sharpen their old ones. Come! Bring your gear and

Vertical Heartland Climbing School teaches rock climbing skills
including climber safety, physical movement and body awareness,
technical equipment usage and methods, communication with others and
respect for the vertical environment. Rock climbing can foster personal
development, accomplishment, camaraderie, confidence and self control.
Fees. Inquire about Draper's Bluff - a beautiful south facing escarpment
just east of Lick Creek, Illinois, near Interstate 57. A 120 foot cliff
pictured at web address above. Located on private property connected
with Vertical Heartland Rock Climbing School. Inquire about Cedar Bluff
- Located just east of Draper's Bluff. Good variety of challenges and
great bouldering.
